I have this thing with vlogging, where I start filming one, then decide it’s not good enough halfway through, and just stop. This habit is a bad one, and it has slowly been slipping into my outfit shoots as well. I tend not to take enough time for them: they are something that I have my friends do in between other things, which makes for a time pressured and therefor often kind of inaccurate shoot. These leave me with very few, if any, pictures, and I’m usually not content with them enough to dedicate a post to them.
Then came the point where I’d had 4 short shoots, barely any blog content, and by this time quite a stack of odd ones out that were good. So, without further ado: here’s 3 outfits I’ve worn over the past month!
Outfit #1: Cute at Comic Con
Coat – Zara // dress – Forever21 // shoes – Converse
Yes, the floor looks yuck, and yes, it was. These shots are taken at Dutch Comic Con, right before we had to leave. Pretty much everything about this outfit is new, and I think this would look really nice on a sunny spring day that’s not really warm just yet, but good enough to get your dresses out. I usually wear more expressive outfits to con’s etc., because I feel like they are a great place to test-drive the look. I feel like this one made it through to the next round! The whole thing is really light and has something soft over it, but is not too white thanks to the soft, yellow coat over top.
Outfit #2: Bright white
Crop-top – h&m // printed skirt – American Apparel
Sensing a pattern here? I’ve really been feeling white lately. It can be sleek and fierce, but it also has potential for soft and sweet. As you can tell, I’m leaning more towards the second. I tend to be the one person who jumps at any chance to wear skirts without stockings outside, so although a lot of people will have thought me crazy, I went for it this day. On a bright day like the day I shot this outfit on, you’re basically radiating when wearing white!
Outfit #3: Playing with the sun
Playsuit – h&m // Lace jacket – Forever21 // Sunglasses – Giorgio Armani
Once again, I was the only barelegged creature outside this day. Do I care? No, not really. This awesome looking wall is in a friends house, which is currently half under construction. A perfect spot for some pictures, so I took some of her in her Sacha Braus cosplay, and she took some of me. The playsuit has an sort of open back, which is not really my thing (hence the jacket to cover it up), but I really like the fabric, as it falls around my body nicely and is also super soft. Along with that, the playsuit has pockets, a luxury most skirts don’t possess. All in all, for most people this outfit is gonna have to wait a while, until the weather gets really hot, but playsuits are a good thing to consider!
Well, that was it for now – I hope you liked it.
When do you start wearing your light clothes?
Love, Ruby
