Put some new boots on

Put some new boots on

SO, there’s one thing old, 2 things new, nothing borrowed and something very blue….

I’ll skim over the old and the blue for you. To start of with the hair, because me dyeing it in a bright color is not something anyone should be surprised by at this point: my new color is a much darker, much blue-er blue than before and I love it. It makes me feel like a mermaid, which is… #goals, basically.

Coat – Who’s that girl // Turtleneck – H&M // Jeggings – Primark // Chelsea boots – Lipstik

The coat is an old classic (literally, it was in one of my blog posts from nearly a year ago, you can check it out here). When I first had it I was scared it would be too bright and put a spotlight on me in a negative way. Bear in mind, this was before I dyed my hair. Now that I’m over that I love this coat to bits, one of the main reasons being it just works with any hair color I take on.

The vocal point of this post, however, are my new shoes! They are from Lipstik, bought from Nasty Gal, took 2 weeks to get here, and they’re vegan. I have been looking for new shoes for a while and since I have been working on expanding my veganism from diet to lifestyle, this seemed like a perfect opportunity. I knew Nasty Gal had some vegan shoes, so I browsed their site and came across these beauties! They fit perfectly, although getting them on when wearing socks is a bit hard. But once they’re on, it’s bliss. They have a 10 cm heel, but because of it’s width these are not difficult to walk in at all (full disclosure: I do wear heels at least once a week anyway).

As always, I think the binding factor that pulls this outfit together is fancy. I love fancy, I feel good in fancy and I don’t see myself not loving fancy anytime soon. But you already know that, don’t you? ;)

What do you think is the most important aspect of an outfit?

Love, Ruby
