The art of…

hi everybody (i know there’s nobody reading this, but still, you never know),

i’m putting a few different things together in one article today. the general subject is this blog, and who amd how it will be working.
first, an announcement: from now on, i decided on writing in english, because it’s sort of a universal language: i think about three quarter of this planet speaks english besides his or her native language. sorry if i’ll make grammar mistakes sometimes, but i’ll try my hardest to write understandable.

second of all, i won’t be the only one writing on this blog: some friends of mine with passions for cooking, nail-art and fashion, who also like writing. i will write on those subjects as well, but they will take the lead on, for example, nail art.

and the third part of this post will be a little -unproffesional- nailart tutorial. i didn’t prepare to make it, so i don’t have perfect pictures and explanations, but i just liked the thought of trying it, just once. i don’t even know if i can add pictures to this post but whatever, here we go.

so, the nail-art style i wanted to tell you about you might already know, because it’s kind of hot right now: cracking nail polish!

for this tutorial, i chose for a dark blue base coat i once got as a gift (but you can use any colour you like) , a shiny transparent top coat, and white “crack nail”, as i call it.

1. put on the basecoat. use one to three layers, depending on your nail polish – you shouldn’t see the pink colour of your nail anymore-.
2. let your base coat dry a minute or so.
3. but on the crack nail. be careful to sweep your brush along (is that right in this context?) the nail polish bottle, before putting it on your nail – otherwise the crack layer will be too thick and you might lose sight of your basecoat.
4. let it dry two minutes
5. but on your topcoat and let it dry. done!

even though i couldn’t add the pictures, i hope you understood my explanation 😳

until next time,

Ruby
